If you want people to interact with you, you're going to have to learn to discuss things like a civilized human being.

You know you're in a community with "fuck" right there in the name, right?

If there's any toxic behavior going on here, it's your tone-policing. This is your warning.

DoN't CuSs It'S nOt CivIWiSeD

That's an uncivilized response. Don't take choice of vocabulary as sign of civilization.

What’s uncivilized about the way he answered?

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Good question.

His rude and aggressive tone, for one. Totally unnecessary.

And his apparent ignorance of the fact that there are other solutions for another.

[-] teft@piefed.social 20 points 1 day ago

I think you’re just adding tone where there isn’t any. His reply doesn’t seem aggressive. He’s just expressing shock and dismay that someone would invite more government tracking into their vehicle willingly.

But he said the F word. On the internet.

I. Am. Shocked.

If you want to interact with people online, you’re going to not have to act like a child when they say the word fuck.

It wasn’t even said with any anger towards you, the fact that you could be offended by that is mind boggling.
