They just want military vets to suffer. Not because a lot of them were kids scooped up by a war machine with the promise of free college, no. It’s because their tenuous grasp of imperialism dictates that any and all actors are blood thirsty Americans eating Iraqi babies and drinking the blood of the afghans.

First, si vis pacem, para bellum. If you're defencless, you get invaded. If you want peace, you need to be ready to fight, to some extent. The current budget? Way too large, and he agrees. Shipbuilding though? We are shit at it now. We need to do better if we don't want to rely on China, which makes us a target. This includes commercial as well as military.
