Isn't this the same LSC from Reddit?

[-] Turret3857@infosec.pub 19 points 2 days ago

No clue. I havent used Reddit in ages. Even if it is, how does Russia's fascist land war relate to late stage capitalism?

I consider it a war against western expansion towards Russia's borders.

Do you think Russia are the good guys?

Do you think the west are the good guys? Because if you do then this is not the community I was expecting

"The West" means nothing to me. Youre talking about culture. I do not give a fuck about a culture. I do give a fuck about the economic system the culture chooses to engage in, and the way that culture regulates themselves (or rather if they get a say in that regulation at all). I do not support any form of capitalism, nor fascism. I especially do no support a system in which the people of the system are not respected or represented. Russia choosing to start a war over nonsense and throwing their entire young male population into the meat grinder shows me they are not a system worth supporting.

Really not sure what you were expecting from a community about Late Stage Capitalism (Something typically associated with the rise of fascism and declining lifestyle for citizens), but if you were expecting a crowd of pro-war people, you were incorrect.

I was a regular of the community on Reddit. They are very anti imperialism which you don't look like. Also judging from your discourse you sound like a liberal.

Russia has an obsession with the northern plains due to the possibility of an invasion and people need to realize that america will do much worse if this will be happening in Mexico for example

Whew, I am ecstatic that this is not the community you were expecting. I'd hate to see a community based around decrying capitalism get turned into something the has nothing to do with capitalism by someone who appears to misunderstand the very concept behind the original subreddit. Thankfully, idiocy always advertises itself thus. Thank you for your service in outing yourself. Always wonderful to have another username for the tag list.

The original sub is communist. This one seems to not be

Are you suggesting with your post that the Russian Federation is communist? This is entertaining.

The west are not the good guys

But it's Russia that invaded and is trying to expand their borders

Russia want only to protect itself against the possibility of an invasion from nato

Notice how NATO isn't helping Trump in Iran? That's because NATO doesn't attack anyone, it's a defensive treaty.

Nato has attacked a lot of country in the past. And even though they are not technically bombing Iran nato countries do provide logistics support

[-] Skyrmir@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

Countries do what they will, Spain and others dipped early because it's not a NATO operation and they don't want to be a part of it. The point being, NATO is purely defensive.

This is plain stupid. If you watch the flow of US weapons you'll see that almost all NATO countries help the us. And no, Nato is not a defensive alliance. They have been involved In all the conflicts in the middle east and also in Lybia and in Serbia. I can't believe I am having this discussion here

[-] Skyrmir@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

You realize NATO members aren't beholden to NATO right? NATO wasn't involved in Korea or Vietnam, because it had nothing to do with them. Same goes for Iran right now. The only reason they were in Afghanistan is because the US was attacked. Iraq wasn't NATO it was a collection of allies, most of which happened to be NATO, but also included Australia and New Zealand. Libya is the closest it can be said NATO has come to an offensive, though that was in reaction to Gaddafi's human rights violations, and wasn't an invasion to take territory.

As for weapon sales, the US is the worlds biggest arms dealer. We sell guns to everyone, that has nothing to do with NATO.

Nato is an imperialist alliance where all countries mostly share the same goal.

Nato is involved in Iran. And if you mean 9 11 well the us deserved that. And if nato will intervene for human rights violations will be all over Israel Azerbaijan or gulf states but surprise surprise

[-] Skyrmir@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Nato has fuck all to do with Iran right now. The only real players are the US and the GCC.

[-] Korhaka@sopuli.xyz 7 points 2 days ago

Hahaha do you actually believe that? You are dumber than I thought.

[-] K1nsey6@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Dumb is not knowing several US presidents have acknowledged this, including Biden, as well as numerous top military officials
