The United States is in decline. Has been a log while. It's not just political propaganda. If anything Trump accelerated the process and made it more evident. And honestly, maybe that is a good thing.

The economy in the States is self cannibalizing, removing value to extract wealth from middle class, or sell nik naks to richer folks. There is not infostrucure for electricity, services. Everything is stuck to the 70s/80s. Look at the AI datacenters situation there. American companies are well deep into inshittification, and hardware manufactures are being rapidly outpaced by progress and development from their Chinese counterparts.

As an individual you have no rights, food kills you, health care is not existing unless you are in the golden path.

The amount of unhoused people is staggering, people that do actually have a job, but they are forced to live in a car. And worse part of it all? They could fix it. They could make it a great place. They have money, skills, resources to do so. But they decided to not do that. To allow rich folks to buy yet another island.

You can say a lot of things about China. But travel to their "rich" cities. Comprare them to USA's ones. As see how prosperity really looks like.

Can confirm. Recently spent a few weeks travelling in China and was blown away by the scale of their infrastructure and overall organization and modernity of tier 1 cities. I ate at so many michelin restaurants in Shanghai for what would be chump change back home. The cities are clean. All the cars are EVs and their sensors seem far more advanced than standard deployments I've seen in north america. Mega surveillance state but fuck me if it isn't safe as hell; met several solo female travellers who said they've never felt safer anywhere.

The cities are impressive but imo the rural areas are where, I as an American, are most impressed. Middle of no where charging infrastructure and large walk-able communities put the US rural areas to shame.
