I had a friend that was pretty repressed with a highly religious family. When he got to college he'd have multiple nights a week blackout drunk, and has had more sexual partners than the rest of our entire friend group combined (like 20+)

Now he is married, had kids, including a daughter who is about puberty age (I have one too) and they apparently haven't had a single conversation with her about menstruation, or growing into a woman at all; at least according to my daughter's discussions with her.
