- Yes, it does sound exactly like being a minority in hostile environment (I can only ascertain that's what being gay in conservative society feels like, but I can assume any minority can be described that way).
- “Deep Adaptation" sounds very close to what we have societally do in Poland and it can very easily become a trap where you can't meaningfully change anything in exchange for feeling a little bit better about yourself.
