I'm confused, is this all the context? One user appears to have been directly insulting an admin to their face, the other user was openly advocating for murdering a group they explicitly put the lemmy.world admins into. I'm not sure how that's unreasonable cause for a ban, nor am I clear on how an admin banning two users over three days is evidence of them "raging", promoting zionism or banning pushback.

Are the .world admins zionists? I see the accusations all the time, but the instance is also overwhelmingly pro-palestine... I'm very curious if there's more context that I'm just unfamiliar with.

The FHF own lemmy.world and piefed.world. One user called the FHF names (shitlib, zionazi) in a community on a non-LW instance and then was banned from all of LW for doing so. This user is a dbzer0 admin.

Another user had the 'murder zionists' nickname and was an AN admin. This AN admin banned a single LW admin for zionism, and the LW admins were so mad that they defederated from AN without talking, made censures against the AN instance, and encouraged other instances to also defederate AN by claiming the act of a single ban of an LW admin was equal to a death threat. All without talking. Said user stepped down as admin from AN and things are very tense since LW thinks their behavior is acceptable. The LW admins could have banned the previous AN admin (or talked about it), but they defederated the AN instance instead, an instance with multiple admins and many users.

Are the .world admins zionists?

They are against genocide (so they say). It's not uncommon to cause a stir on LW by expressing a want for the state of Israel and their IDF to dissolve.

Edit: more info

This is the reason why we should be pushing back harder against users joining the largest instance, whatever that is. They have more of the users, so they have more control. The admins think this makes them more important and they abuse this power. It's the same issue Reddit has, and is supposed to be solved with federation. Users need to be spread out so no single instance has more power.

.World admins are Zionists, if you can't see that yet you might still be too liberal.

Um, okay - but in what way are they zionists? "Trust me bro" isn't really an explanation, and I've been here for a couple years and have not seen any overt zionist behavior. Could you elaborate?

Why don’t you go search YPTB, they’ve been called into the spotlight countless times over the years.

Just the defending of the racist JordanLund alone is telling enough of their views imo, but there’s so much more.
