Runners setting records & qualifying will invariably be aiming for under 2 hours 40, and thus be allowed to put out pre-prepared drink bottles.

Although in the interest of fairness, it should probably be more like 3 hours for women. At the moment it's very high performing but sub-elite amateurs for men, but only to elite women.
