Why is all of Lemmy politics? (lemmy.ml)

Seriously every other post, every sub seems like nothing but politics. It's so boring and disgusting. What made reddit great at one time was the diversity of genres and depth. Lemmy is very shallow and politically motivated it seems. I have been here since the Reddit exodus. It's always been this way.

Do different Lemmy servers have different content?

Are certain severs curated?

Where do I find the depth and deep subject matter.

lemmy was created by the people who used to inhabit r/politics; r/socialism; r/communism; r/linux; and r/foss and they coalesced around lemmy.ml

lemmy.world has the bread-and-circuses that you're looking for.
