Fun fact: no!
I mean, I’d argue the emoluments clause should apply here, because poly market isn’t limited to Americans, but given that the sources of counter bets are not really public, I can see why it might not. Damn, I guess the ToS of polymarket?
And some point they just need to cut out the middleman and start selling ad space in politicians' speeches.
Shame is supposed to do that but some are immune to its effects.

So it is illegal - but whether it will stop people from doing it is a separate question.
The Polymarket rules are not laws. "Oops I broke the rules you caught me lol, looks like my crypto wallet's banned now so I'll have to make a new one in 5 seconds"
Wasn't the thing basically owned by a trump kid? Why would they ban themselves?
