!nostupidquestions is a community dedicated to being helpful and answering each others' questions on various topics.
The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:

MODERATORS
what is with fedi instances and wanting to be the biggest hugest one out there? eugen with .social/.online, the whole universeodon saga, and now lemmy.world...
i mean, i can understand redditors not being open to change and just wanting things as they are, but ruud operates mulltiple fedi services aside from lemmy (basically anything with the .world tld is connected to mastodon.world/ruud). he of all people should know better.
re your art instance: one of the main problems with this kinda thing is it's hard to find people who are both technically inclined, AND can deal with community moderation (which is difficult and is expressly why i haven't done anything other than a brief single user instance) AND has the resources to keep one up and running. have you considered asking around a couple well moderated art communities ahead of time, and just handling the tech portions yourself while they handle the moderation?
i guess that won't help with the money part though
