Your feedback is needed (dataterm.digital)

Folks, I need a little bit of your help. We started this little Lemmy instance without thinking much about it - lol.

So my question to you folks, what information are you missing. As I have noticed, our rules are a bit too hidden on this page. I will try to include them in the sidebar. Currently they are on our Legal page.

Is there any other information you need?

Small hint: Even if it's very cyberpunk'ish here, you are of course allowed to create communities or share posts that have nothing to do with cyberpunk :)

Update:

Link to the rules are now in the sidebar!

I guess that's the slight downside of the game sharing the name with a genre.

Well, it's not that the game is sharing the name with the genre, it's that the games created the genre. It's like Roguelikes are all based on the game Rogue.

Cyberpunk (as a genre) is a bit older than the game (though not by much) but I believe this was the first time it was used.

"The shockwave rider" published in 1975 does not use the word "cyberpunk", but has many of the genre defining themes, such as a globally connected world, computer networks, hacking and small groups facing off against corporations. It's not as pessimistic as more modern stories and i don't remember how much capitalism is present, but published today it would definitely fall into the cyberpunk genre.
