TBF most people and politicians can’t name the dead no matter the war.
I got my Combat Infantry Badge in the spring of 2002, my division commander was there, HRC was there, neither could name any of us let alone the casualties.
Slaughterers at abbatoirs don't name and get to know their meat before the slaughter.
