But the sword is a sidesword, not a rapier
I bet centurii was basing their design off of something like this swept-hilt rapier.
It's notoriously difficult to distinguish between sideswords and rapiers in illustrations.
How are you able to tell that it's a sidesword?
you’re right, some rapiers did have a simple hilt virtually identical to sideswords. I’ve been confused by the fact that i mostly know sideswords with this kind of hilt
