1. Your post must be an unironic presentation of a wholesome story, but one that overlooks systemic failures that made the story possible in the first place. Okay, but what's the alternative? Taking care of people just because they "need it" or "could die without intervention" like some kind of sucker? Next thing you know, today's kids will be going out and getting brain surgeries or other serious procedures willy-nilly on the taxpayer's dime. They'll be laughing at us until the general anesthetic kicks in.
