Good news for ~~cos~~ cis (ducking autocorrect) men: If you started your journey before 2015, this scale is represented by a 19U beard instead.

Started LONG before 2015.

Still can't grow a beard worth a damn.

Same. I started in 1998 when I was 15, but I was unable to grow a beard until my 30s.

Now in my 40s I'm far away from 19U, but I have this:

(No, that's not me, but I do have a very similar beard, just not as white)

My dad said that he was late when it came to beard growth, but it meant that the men in our family would never grow a bald spot. Anecdotal evidence suggests this might be true, so I was curious if this is a correlation outside of my family?

Not you... Well damn I was briefly really excited to run into Jordan Rudess on Lemmy!

I'm just barely older than you, and started with Linux when I was just a bit younger.

I could basically do a goatee and nothing else but sparse hairs on the side. I'm definitely thinning out up top though.

2. Be civil
  • Understand the difference between a joke and an insult.
  • Do not harrass or attack users for any reason. This includes using blanket terms, like "every user of thing".
  • Don't get baited into back-and-forth insults. We are not animals.
  • Leave remarks of "peasantry" to the PCMR community. If you dislike an OS/service/application, attack the thing you dislike, not the individuals who use it. Some people may not have a choice.
