I hear where you're coming from with this, I also can't help hear it as similar to "well not all men!" which, I think most rational people recognize is true. By far and on average it is safe to say "all".

Just like when I teach people about snake bites, you should treat "every bite as it were venomus. It is true not every snake bite is - but is it worth risking death not taking the precaution?
