I think we're the best animal. We're fundamentally flawed, but we're basically Batman. No other species that im aware of can go to the moon, and the seabed, and communicate basically instantly with other members on the other side of the planet.
I mean we've got serious problems, and we kill pretty much anything in our path, but we're definitely awesome.
Our capacity for complex goal directed behavior is impressive.
But our empathy never extends far enough, whether we have power over others or vice versa. It's fuck you I got mine and fuck you to get mine. Or, we collectively keep our heads down and go Better them than us, when standing up in solidarity against oppression is called for.
And regardless which side of of the power gradient any one of us finds ourselves on, we are collectively unified in aggressively powerfucking the planet and our future generations by our actions and complacency.
We're impressive cognitively, but we're socially primitive and need to evolve by an order of magnitude.
