You're doing the thing. You're leveraging video of children to make a point.

"Children" aren't some foreign species that lives in a vacuum, who only pupate into actual human beings the moment they hit 18. This line of thinking absolves them off all responsibility and parenting, often used by horrible parents to excuse their behavior because "they're just kids" (aka I completely failed to raise my kid and don't know what to do about it). And it's high school, not kindergarten. You're the weirdo for infantilising them.

Never suggested kids shouldn't face consequences for their actions. I just think it's weird that adults are sharing video of them in school and making commentary on it.

This shit should be nothing but the business of the kids, their parents, and the school.

You don't want videos of Nazis being punched to be shared. Curious

But look, the kid is the one who went out of this way to broadcast this message across the school, while recording himself doing it, and then put it out there on the internet for as many people as possible to see it. He went out of this way to make that chain of decisions, being old enough to understand the ramifications. Sure he might regret it at some point in his life if he grows up, maybe he had wrong influence. But right here and now, that's the situation. I could see your point, if it was even someone else to record and publish it. But it was the exact guy himself and nobody else.

And since it was already put out there, I don't see why people wouldn't comment on it at that point.
