Media has spent decades getting people to side with police, even against their own interests. TV shows, movies, usually show a cop doing a bad thing to catch a big criminal, when in reality it's cops abusing citizens to get what they want.

I side with the suspect until video shows otherwise, I will never trust a cop at their word, too much power over the avg citizen.
