I majorly regret donating a single dollar to him.
Yeah but in the whole shit-pool of fucked up politicians, he's the best you've got. But sadly the whole US is a giant shit-pool with many fucked up people, so the votes still go to the fucked up politicians. So that whole country is completely fucked. The few reasonable and good people there are also fucked, because they live in that shit hole country.
When you elect assholes in office, you get your country all covered in shit.
