i’m starting to think tankies are a liberal ploy to keep liberals away from communism
they pretty much never complain about the right, it’s all about the “shitlibs”
I'm not saying you're right or wrong but it is certainly interesting that the most prominent tankie specimens on the fediverse average 20+ essay-length comments per day while I get fed jacketed if I spend more than 2 paragraphs refuting their bullshit.
Strange that these self described proles have enough free time between their subsistence wage earning and real life praxis to write a small novel per week...

truly, the biggest take away from this entire post; the american government has vindicated tankies so many times and in writing, but here we see people still cling on to their ignorance with a such zeal that it rival's red-maga willful ignorance.
It's only a ploy if you don't realize there is no communism and never was any anywhere in the world. China, Russia or NK are and never were anywhere near it, so it's not like you support communism if you voice support for one of those imho. It's like claiming you love and support brown color just because you love sticking your nose into shit.

as a group they’re a lot of things but not actually stupid… yet they profess this deep admiration and respect for authoritarian dictatorships… exactly what liberals use as examples of “why communism doesn’t work”.
but like you say, they weren’t communist countries. and these imposters insist over and over and over again that china, russia, and the dprk are the pinnacles of communism.
they derail every online community earnestly talking about communist ideas, and drown out legitimate talk with bullshit about how stalin was great and it’s all propaganda that he killed more people than hitler… never ending purity tests and just being as mean as possible to anyone curious about it.
i don’t think conservatives are as afraid of communism as the liberal establishment is, because actual democrat voters are much closer to communists than they realize.
It is the exact opposite. Thinking that you can be "progressive" or "left" while writing off everything that is anti-US/anti-west as tankie allows the liberals to feel good while supporting the right and fascism.
