Sorry im out of the loop on this, was it a gun or a phone? Is NYT saying phone?
He was holding a phone, but had a gun bolstered on his hip. The gun was removed from his holster by the guy in the grey jacket moments before the ICE agent opened fire.
The guy who as holding a phone and filming ICE. It also appears he had a gun on him.
