I really hope the developers change this. Having a different avatar for each world or server I play on just seems like a no-brainer to me. I'm sure the devs are planning to implement this sooner or later.....right??

They're planning on implementing multiple profiles so you can quickly switch your avatar, but I don't know if they're planning on a way to have it be different per server.

That sounds good to me. I just don't want to have the exact same avatar for every world/server. What you describe at least gives the player a little choice in the matter. :)
