Diligent Zookeeper and Earthbending?

Maybe I'm missing something. Why doesn't Diligent Zookeeper give a +1/+1 to my lands? They are creatures, they are non-human. Is it because forest/mountain etc is not a crature type but a land type? I'm perplexed.
lands aren't creatures unless they've been turned into creatures
That's where the earthbending comes in presumably.

if that's the case then yes, i believe land types are not creature types even though they're on a creature
