It can run Android apps!
Sweet. I'm even more tired of Google's shit than Microsoft's. Apple's locked down ecosystem is even worse, though, so here I am.
I'd love for this to be my last ever Android phone, but I need some apps for work. (And I'd prefer being able to play some mobile-OS-exclusive games, but that's not a dealbreaker.)
A proper open-source phone that works as a phone reliably (on bands the only reliable carrier in my part of Canada uses), can run my short list of must-have apps, and that can take decent photos (doesn't even need to be great)... That's the dream, right?
Yeah, my main thing is being able to pay with it. Sadly basically all banks have only support for either Google or Apple Wallet and I'm not sure if Google Wallet work with MicroG since it didn't even work with actual GPServices on a custom rom
Just use a card or cash, IMO having your phone be the only thing you pay with is a risk if it gets stolen.
Its not the only thing, but it is very convenient since I have it with me anyway if I go shopping, because I listen to music instead of the screeching noises of ten thousand families and children. And I rarely carry cash
