If they're trying to attack all of Lemmy, or the whole Fediverse, they're doing it wrong. lol

It's like obvious spam emails that put no effort into appearing legitimate. You have the spirit of it, but your heart is in the wrong place.

I think the issue more ppl see with this is the communities there are now down also, not just not being able to login.

No worries, they're just being considerate by "preemptively saving" all hexbears from the inconvenience of experiencing constant outage every day.
