When writing with your left hand you end up dragging your hand over what you just wrote which will smudge if the ink is still wet. I think it's saying that the quick drying part makes it a better ink for the left handed.

It's this. I'm left handed and never seen the point in most "lefty" items, but fast drying ink is a godsend

I'll add a lot of scissors I've found are for some reason designed around right handed comfort which makes them impossible to use left handed.
