Nylaug Trunnion Options (forum.guncadindex.com)

How's it going guys,

I'm getting ready to build out a Nylaug, and I am confused about the options for the Trunnions. I wanted to buy an aluminum trunnion from 3dprintfreedom or Riptide Rails. In the Riptide Rails description, it says it is best used with the "Standard" receiver. Now I am confused about which is the "Standard" receiver, and if the 3dprintfreedom is the same case. My question is whether or not if its for the SURPLUS stock or the SEMI Auto stock?

Thank you

From the receiver readme “[TIGHT & TIGHTER TRUNNION] (I had too loose a fit on the Original Trunnion so I pushed the lip that interacts with the receiver lock higher. Use this version only if you find slop between the trunnion and lock.)”

My understanding is that there are different file versions for the receiver if you have tolerance issues. When Riptide tells you that its saying that the tolerances for their trunnion are meant to be compatible with the “standard receiver” file. Should work on the surplus stocks.

Having said that I haven’t printed one myself, just interpreting the files. Ymmv

That is what I am assuming as well. I just wanted to confirm which receiver to print. I have the surplus stock and it seems like that's what trunnion was built for, so I'm going to do that route.

Thanks for your insight!

Happy to help! Best of luck to you with the build.

Fingers crossed I can catch a restock on the surplus kits! Where did you get yours and how did that go if you don’t mind me asking.

I signed up for a waitlist on 3DPrintFreedom and was lucky enough to catch the restock. They are supposed to arrive this wednesday. Still waiting for the barrels to come back in stock tho! Im still prepping for the build. Sorry for late reply
