And to cap off my night, Symphony X - The Odyssey. This album's title rings true. This album is a progressive neoclassical heavy metal epic and a personal favorite. I truly love every song on this album.

These dudes are true masters of the craft and that's no more apparent than on the titular song "The Odyssey." Symphony X does a fantastic job translating Homer's epic, Odyssey into an exciting progressive metal masterpiece that shows everything this band can offer. The MIDI backing orchestra can sound a bit dated, but I think it adds to the early '00s charm and I'm quite fond of MIDI. The song isn't for the faint of heart though clocking it at 24 minutes.

I love the "blue ghost" splatter vinyl.

This was a bucket list album for me for a few years. Hard to locate and folks wanted way too much. I was lucky enough to stumble on a copy pressed by Sheet Happens that was a good price a year or so ago.

Mine was the original run of Somewhere in Time by Iron Maiden, lol. I got a pretty used version, but it plays well!

That's a banger of an album for sure.
