He offers strong statements without evidence and says quote "Trust me he knew" Sorry but I dont trust anyone offering commentary on journalism. He is a commentator commenting on other commentators.

I did watch the video, I dont agree with the arguments, I dont find what little evidence presented as convincing, and it seems like demonizing Platner is doing the work of the Republicans, billionaires, and Nazis for them.
As for your link, yeah I dont like the content of what was written, but I also dont take issue with people who evolve or adjust their beliefs over time. 10 years ago me, probably said some stupid shit too, 20 years ago me definitely did.
I have been working hard to take a real turn on patriarchy and understanding the systemic violence women live under for the last year and it will take me several more to fully embrace it. So even 5 years ago me probably said some deplorable shit about women and thought I was being a feminist.
Amplify the things that are good, and remember that the US has a very flawed political system. Our choices are looking like Platner, Mills, or Collins. Of the 3, Platner is at least saying that he will be progressive change. I can just hope that he is, and that if not the people of Maine hold him to account.
Where did he say he evolved? Where did he apologize for massacring brown people? Show it to me.
