You can clean the filters by putting them in the washing machine?! I thought they were made of paper and would not survive the washing machine cycle. Mine is a shark and has a different looking filter than that. They probably weren't designed to be checked in the washing machine but it has worked every time I've done it so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
