Someone watched Star Trek and took their interfaces a bit too literally
Would that be helpful? Probably. Would it be as private? It could be, but not the way they want to do it. The potential benefit does not outweigh the downsides they're "value adding".
Star Trek interfaces are great…. If the tech is there to back them up.
In this case… not so much.
