On the other hand, 6 years in the industry and every actually good software engineer seems to have ADHD. I'm sure this is similar in some other careers too. So maybe it's less of a curse and more of a... Side-step from the norm?

There's this innate curiosity and tendency to learn a lot more than strictly necessary, that seems to come with ADHD.

So I'll have trouble doing the dishes, but it also seems that sometimes I can solve multiple difficult problems in one sitting, essentially do a week worth of work in one night.
