They claim the boats are drug traffickers. Of course they’ve squandered any good will or reputation so no one believes it. Even if they were, you can’t just randomly kill people.

Much more likely it’s to put pressure on Venezuela for I’m not sure. Presumably it’s “the art of the deal” for oil companies that have laundered bribes through trumpcoin.

I think they’re trying to set the precedent that they can just kill people.

Now it’s “drug runners” from Venezuela in international waters. Soon it’ll be “domestic terrorists” in international waters. Eventually it’ll be “domestic terrorists” on US soil if we let them.

Last I heard China's setting the precedent for mass murdering anyone they don't like in their or neighbouring countries, America's lagging behind - they're not even at 'arresting political opponents' yet
