Ah, gotcha. Yeah stable diffusion and AI art seemed like a core element of their instance a couple years ago. If people are going to their instances community and down voting all AI stuff I'm sure it would ruffle their feathers. I mostly appreciate dbzer0 for their piracy, FOSS, and anarchist views. Also I think it's in their rules that people will be banned for right wing nonsense. I'm not really an anarchist myself, but I would plead the 5th on piracy and always love FOSS projects

People were being banned because they downvoted AI slop as it appeared on their feeds, not seeking it out and downvoting everything.
