Masculinity is a social construct.I would argue masculinity as a concept should be abolished. The same goes for feminity. There is no way to define masculinity without it sounding demeaning to women(and men).If masculinity means being strong, courageous and intelligent then if a woman has those traits does that make her masculine? If femininity means being kind, caring and compassionate then if man has those traits does that make him feminine and is that a bad thing? There is no non-biological difference between men and women.Heck I would argue there is not much biological difference either considering trans and intersex people also exist.Biologically a person can be born with XY chromosome and still be ciswoman and a person can have XX chromosome and still be a cismen.Considering all of the factors above both masculinity and feminity as a concept should cease to exist

Even as the prehistoric men hunter and women gatherer myth that conservatives like to bring up for reinforcing such concepts have been debunked https://bigthink.com/the-past/busting-male-hunter-female-forager-myth/ Women were involved in hunting as much as men.

Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.
