Not to be the party pooper but having a dead lithium battery in your drawer might not be the wisest thing.
will old cellphones become UXO for gen alpha?
Thought they had internal mechanisms that self destruct non-explosively if the charge goes down far enough, but I can't for the life of me find where I read that originally, or Anything that corroborates it. Best I can find is chemical damage that happens automatically if it drops below 2.5v.
