Dad my bedroom door handle won't stay up so the door won't shut. How do I fix it?

The latch (gold part that holds the door closed) looks stuck inside. It's caught on the bottom if you look closely. As a temporary fix you should just be able to nudge / wiggle it up with a butter knife or similar and hopefully it'll pop right out.

If that doesn't happen give me a poke.

Thanks dad which bit am I nudging? eg the side the bottom?
