Sure, we're on course for disaster. But pretending like there is a single tipping point and that we're Doomed (doomed, I say!) anyway, is just a convenient excuse to wallow in hopelessness and inaction. The truth is that we're still making things worse by the day, and every kilo of CO2 saved helps slow down the speed of the disaster. And those little efforts by folks like us, might still make the difference between 1 billion dead or 1.1 billion dead.

Lmao, bro what sort of bullshit hopium are you puffing on to think the death toll will be 1.1 billion at worst?!

Fresh water resources are depleting rapidly and arable land is being lost at breakneck speed. If the blue ocean event doesn't get us all first, the drought and famine will. Humanity will not make it out of the century.

It's just a random number. No matter how bad it gets, your attitude can only make it even worse.

The capitalist overlords love your compliance and willingness to spread optimistic propaganda to the proletariat. Keep it up buddy, a good worker is a hopeful worker!

But sure whatever, go recycle something and buy an electric car if it makes you feel better. You don't have much time left anyway, so you might as well be a happy moron.
