  • Brush: Dogwood Handcrafts - w/Maggard 30mm Badger
  • Razor: Koraat 15/16 Full Hollow - Sub Exclusive 'Moarteen'
  • Lather: House of Mammoth - Santa Noir - Soap
  • Post Shave: Barrister and Mann - Lyssa - Aftershave

Another very nice 2.5 pass shave. Now I'm wondering if I can go straight to ATG using other types of razors :-)

This has cut down the amount of time it takes me to do a straight razor shave which is a nice bonus.

I have 3 tubs of Tusk and I'd like to kill one or two of them to make room for other soap bases. This 30mm knot really helps with that mission, I think!

I worked out a 2-pass pattern for straights that I then started using for safety razors as well. The trick, for me was in recognizing that I can comfortably combine WTG/XTG in one pass and XTG/ATG in another. For AA I’ve gone back to 3-pass shaves. I’ve used 2-pass for so long I now have to be mindful of getting a result that’s too close.
