The developer in question, Anego Studios, is citing this catastrophe as the reason they're yanking their game, Vintage Story, from itch.io until further notice.

Explaining that Itch Corp has not paid out in "over three months", Anego Studios' Tyler Madlener took to Discord this morning in a pointed statement. Vintage Story will remain available for purchase on the Humble Store "without interruption", but with so much money quite literally on the line from ongoing revenue share, it's simple to see why this decision has been made.

Fuck you itch, pay them. Also anyone know why the vintage story folks have never gone to platforms like gog and steam?

Because if the large cuts those platforms take. But I still think that's not a smart move. See https://www.vintagestory.at/faq.html/

Fair enough i guess if they don't think its a fair deal. I agree with you they'd probably more than make up the difference with exposure but perhaps by hey simply don't have ambitions beyond what they've already achieved.

Ironically Steam seems to actually pay what they owe as well...
