Is this the same as watching your own poop flush down the toilet?

We loved our robot until our 5 cats, with 3 boxes and 1 robot, would all use the robot only, causing it to jam or error out due to pee weight or cats interrupting it.

It was either another $1k litter box or back to normal litter trays.

Trays was the final decision.

I researched the hell out of these things for about a week before I ultimately decided I'd just scoop. Everyone we told we were getting 2 cats said we needed one.

After reading about the longevity and the maintenance I couldn't justify the cost for something that will save me about 20 minutes a day.

For us it’s not just saving time; it’s preventing prissy cats from going somewhere we don’t want them to go because one of the others used the box and now it’s “too icky.” When the somewhere we don’t want is often the bed or even my pillow, it’s worth it.

I don't wanna use a toilet that hasn't been flushed either tbh. It is icky.

That would definitely be a different consideration.
