We are trying to get the latest RC version (2025.07-RC) of Friendica installed today. Taking an extra backup of the DB is taking some time.

Update: The upgrade has been tested but we ran into an issue, which we filed here: https://github.com/friendica/friendica/issues/14998

We have taken the opportunity to optimize the database, and have now restarted friendica.world awaiting a solution to the issue before we upgrade.

Thank you, this is very useful! I am on holiday now, but when I return I will coordinate an effort to get the issues reported and see if we can update to the newest version (last test install was not successful because it broke S3 media plugin)

Thanks for all the work you're putting into this! Did you see https://lemmy.world/post/33265623/18360512? Some things do work, like https://friendica.world/profile/gargle/profile. My script however queries https://friendica.world/api/statuses/public_timeline with my user and password.
