‘Having read the indictment, these are very serious allegations,’ Mr Pence told The Wall Street Journal’s Editorial Board on Tuesday

So, this indictment is prompting republicans to dip their toes in anti-trump waters. Hutchinson, Christie, Haley, Scott, Buck, Pence, Turley, Barr have all started to make some comments that the charges are quite serious. Whether this means anything in the long run is highly suspect based on how fickle and cynical they all are but still something to watch. I think the incredibly poor showing of his supporters yesterday even after he specially requested their presence and was bussing them in will prompt yet more republicans to speak out. He has more Indictments coming which will drag on the party even more.

I wouldn't say Christie has tipped his toes in the anti-trump waters, I would say he's decided that he can jump in the water while everyone else isn't allowed on the beach..

He's decided that there's a political path for him to be the antiTrump in the room. His entire campaign is antitrump (and hoping you ignore Christopher Wrey hiding his cell phone during an investigation).

I think he’s still pissed off that Trump almost got him killed. (Trump knew he had covid just before the debate, but hid it on purpose from everybody* and still didn’t wear a mask. Christie caught covid from Trump, ended up on a ventilator and almost died).

*i’m certain Trump did this hoping Biden would catch covid from him during the debate, remember when the Trump party all turned up at the very last minute, none wearing masks, didn’t get tested etc.

They'd definitely 180 if he somehow came out on top, it's always like this. They can support him or not doesn't make 'em better in my eyes.
