PG-13 didn't exist when Jaws was released.
I'm not arguing against your point, just clarifying why it is PG.
I declare fisty cuffs! Yeah think it came out right after. R existed though right?
Jaws was released in '75 and PG-13 was created in '84.
It was Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom that was a catalyst for PG-13. It's probably no coincidence that Steven Spielberg directed both Jaws and Temple of Doom.
