Less than half of you voted to prevent him from winning.

Fine, I rescind my apology from applying to you, specifically.

[-] ilinamorato@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago

And less than a quarter of us actually voted for him.

[-] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

But the ones who didn't vote for the alternative also voted for him, if indirectly.

Shhhhhh! They’ll hear you and exact a horrible revenge by “downvoting” this outrageously true statement!

[-] ilinamorato@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Caring about upvotes and downvotes is such a redditor opinion.

If you're planning to assign blame to every single person who had even an indirect hand in putting him back into office, you're going to have a very long list of people to talk to.

Biden got 10 Million more votes than Harris. That is what decided the election. Those ten million people choose to let fascism win.

[-] ilinamorato@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

I mean, there were also 15 million Americans who died between 2020 and 2024. Add that to the biggest voter suppression campaign in US history, and you get a substantial enough reason for the electorate to have changed.

For a single individual to have made that choice is one thing. But to paint ten million people with that broad brush is just rage-baiting.

Maybe you should have offered them a non-fascist alternative

[-] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

So you chose the extra fascist alternative instead? Yeah, figures.

You were the one who decided exterminating Palestinians was more important than beating Trump.
