This gotta be an american thing, right? Like here in europe it's quite common to be expressionless to some degree. I don't know anyone who tries to look happy just for the sake of keeping appearances up.

I'm in Europe, I know this one person that does this. It's honestly exhausting, always happy no matter what even when shit is falling from the ceiling.

This person says it is the usual behaviour it has, but many times I felt it was a facade. But hey, who am I to judge.
