I mean if I had the resources to I would be long gone, jumping ship to an entirely new country is incredibly expensive and poses a lot of challenges if you don't have an in. If you're just some basic bitch civilian with no super special in-demand skills the fuck are you supposed to do.

Quite a few countries are fine if your income is a WFH job even if the company is US based. As long as that income is at or above whatever level they set you're generally fine on that front even if you're not like a researcher or something.

So, if you can snag a stable WFH job with decent enough income for your target country, that is also cool with you being in another country (it's more common than you might think) that could be your way out
