There is no higher quality comment than to enter the comments section and generally declare the comments as shit. The cherry on top is to expand that generality to say all of lemmy has "gone to shit".

You seem to be new here my friend. It happened a long time ago, especially during the US elections. Everything seems to be about trump, elon musk, capitalism, killing CEOs, and the like and it all started in a big way then. But there’s ways you can filter out most of it using your app if you’d like.
